CAVE Generations Strong Video

CAVE's mission is to provide Chico State students with meaningful volunteer opportunities, to develop student leaders, and to serve a broad base of community needs. Our motto, "Life is for Learning," supports our philosophy that the community is a classroom for hands-on learning.
Established in 1966, our student-run programs serve children, older adults, and people with special needs, as well as projects with animals and the environment. Annually, more than 2,000 students provide 60,000 hours of community service through CAVE!

CAVE provides students a chance to:

  • Make new friends
  • Explore career and personal interests
  • Develop job skills
  • Increase self-confidence
  • Enrich classroom experience
  • Make a difference in the community
