What can we do for you:

Adventure Outings is here to serve the students and community of Chico. We offer custom wilderness trips for private groups and organizations. Custom trips are designed for campus groups that want to have an outdoor experience together. AO will provide the basic format of the trip (i.e. caving, backpacking, rafting, etc.) and our leaders will help facilitate any special goals that you hope to accomplish such as staff development or group bonding. AO also operates a back-country yurt, which can be reserved and rented at any time of year. A yurt is a backcountry canvas and wood hut designed to protect campers from the elements and has a wood stove to keep you warm at night. Our yurt is located in Lassen National Forest near Butte Meadows, with great access to backcountry recreation. It is accessible by a short 1.5 mile hike, snowshoe or ski. The yurt is available to rent for $35 per night for groups of 1-4 people and $50 per night for groups of 5 or more; this includes the use of pre-cut firewood, a lantern, and cook stove. To reserve the yurt, contact Adventure Outings well in advance to ensure that space is available.
