Equipment Rentals

The Forebay Aquatic Center rents a variety of boating equipment. In order to rent, you must leave a valid credit card number and either a driver's license, or a set of keys. In the case the equipment is not returned or damaged your credit card will be billed the replacement amount of the rented item. It is required that you wear a PFD (personal flotation device) while using any of our equipment.

Off-Site Rentals

Going camping or headed up to Lake Oroville? You can now rent our kayaks and canoes to take with you! A credit card deposit and drivers license information is required for all off site rentals. Off-site reservations must be made in advance by calling (530) 624-6919.

Club Memberships

Become a Rowing or Sailing Club Member at the Forebay Aquatic Center. Members get weekly access to our boats and receive the student rate on all of our courses and rentals. Members are encouraged to reserve equipment by calling 530.624.6919.

Forebay Sailing Club

Joining the sailing club is a great way to sharpen your skills and get more time on the water for your money. Members get access to our club sailboats, catamarans, and windsurfers for up to three hours per week and also are eligible for discounts on courses and rentals.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of our Intro to Sailing or Catamaran course or course challenge. You must pass the course or course challenge that relates to the piece of equipment that you wish to use. (i.e. In order to check out a windsurfer, you must pass the windsurfing course or course challenge).

Forebay Rowing Club

Hooked on rowing and looking to spend more time on the water? As a Rowing Club member you will be entitled to weekly use of our club boats and get discounted rates on our courses and rentals. We are expanding our fleet to include doubles and fours. Take your ability to the next level by getting frequent practice and a wonderful workout!

Prerequisite: You must have passed or challenged one of our rowing courses.
