Volunteer Application Process
Volunteer registration and enrollment occurs during the first 4 weeks of each semester. To begin the application process print and fill out the CAVE Volunteer Application and return it to the CAVE office (BMU 309) by the deadline to schedule an interview. During the interview, CAVE staff will discuss details of the program, complete paperwork, and ask questions regarding interests and abilities relevant to the placement process. Once approved, the final step is to a attend a mandatory program orientation where volunteers will build knowledge and skills relevant to the program and receive details about their exact placement.Learn about CAVE Volunteer Programs
First time volunteers need to include at least three references on the application, professional contacts whom you've known for at least one year. This application is for those who are volunteering on their own commitment, and NOT for those who need CAVE clearance as part of a class requirement, refer to the service learning link.
Please Note: Placements are not guaranteed; it is contingent upon the screening approval process. It is the sole discretion of CAVE and the Associated Students to place or remove you from a program. Weekend Immersions and Alternative Spring Break trips are based on a selection process governed by first come, first serve. Interviews do not guarantee placement in a program or selection on any trip.
