The WREC Climbing Gym boasts 36 foot walls and 3,000 square feet of climbing space. You will find over 50 routes from beginner to expert, bouldering and top rope climbing. All climbing is free and no experience is necessary.

Our friendly and qualified staff will help you through the entire experience. Use your own gear or rent a harness, chalk and/or rock climbing shoes from us at no charge. If you are an experienced belayer, you can take our belay test any time the Climbing Gym is open.

Free Rock Climbing Classes!

The WREC is proud to offer free basic rock climbing classes. These classes are free, and no belay certification is required for the Belay Class, or the Basic Movement Class. Classes start at the designated time, and people who are late will not be allowed to enter the class. No sign-ups required, first six people to show up have priority in the class. Please stop by the rock climbing gym and learn how to climb!

Belay Classes:

Monday 2:00-5:00pm
Tuesday 6:00-9:00pm
*Free, no sign up required, first 6 people who show up are in class. This class teaches proper safety instruction which is the essential key to getting on rope and climbing

Basics to Climbing Movement

Wednesdays 2:00-4:00pm
*Free, first 6 people who show up are in the class. Participants do not need to be belay certified.
